You might think a page called "Announcements" would be a place for official updates. It would be extra work for our wonderful staff to have to duplicate what the team is told, or some part thereof, on this page. They have enough to do already. I get emails like every day telling me every thing I need to know as a team parent. Thank you.

So you might ask why I don’t just copy and paste the team parent updates here. The reason I don’t is that "some part thereof" MIGHT be bad to post. The team updates MIGHT include information the coach does not think the public needs to know, like bus schedule and practice times and locations. I do not want to be the Cougar’s WikiLeak. I do not have the authority to make those decisions. I am comfortable with posting the game schedule and good result updates but I have to sift this information out of the team parent updates.

I may not always be able to sift as quick as the daily changes are made, but when I do get to them, they are already on two (2) other pages, so I don’t need to put them here too.

So why is this called the "Announcements" page when there are no official announcements on it? I was asked to make a page of that name that people could post on. This is in fact a place where ANYONE can post an announcement. I think we should just turn it into a discussion board or forum. Maybe you have a better title. The point is, say something. Post a message on this page if you are reading it. It is for everybody.
